Another Image captured in heavy overcast conditions in the Kruger National Park.
At least the overcast conditions extends your shooting window. This image was captured late morning.
The image was captured from a hide, I would have preferred being a bit lower but that was not possible.

Dave, I guess it is the Lake Panic hide -- It is the best there is. To get a lower angle the hide would need to be in the water, but I reckon they have done an amazing job with it. You have captured the stalking very very well - nice and sharp -- they are such successful hunters - I counted a 90% success rate...!

Thanks Nevil and Clement for looking and for comments.
Nevil yes it is the Lake panic hide. Would love to see a hide with the opening close to water level. Crocks and hippo would be a problem though.
you got some great details on this elusive bird Dave! sorry to hear the weather in Kruger was groggy...hope it's better in 3 weeks when I head there (going North though...)
love the angle it's taken over the water. exposure and colours spot on.
Thanks to all for looking and for comments.
Phil we had a lot of bird action but no animals due to rain and overcast conditions. I am sure you will have a great time.
