Beautiful image, John, color good and sharp, too; I would take a bit off the botton.

Very nice image. Especially like the plain white background. The yellowish brush really adds to the image rather than being distracting. Agree about cropping some off the bottom. In fact, this would be very nice in a square format centered on the top. Would also consider adding a small catchlight to the eye.

Hi jOHN - Agree with the above comments - Good HA and eye contact - sharp and lovely colours. would crop some from the bottom and go square - techs look solid.
    Good show :)

Agree with comments above. Maybe lighten up the eye area a tad and boost shutter,...great habitat and nature moment.

    Killer shot!!

Added the eye catchlight, lightened the area around the eye. Removed some twigs that were distracting to me. Cropped for a 1/1.25 ratio.

    Hi,

Agree with all the comments, and I especially love the repost. But just for the sake of accuracy etc., it isn't a Chipping Sparrow - it's an American Tree Sparrow.

    Cheers,

    Richard

Wendell, Richard, Lance, Alfred, Jeff, Harold, Bill,

Thank you all for your time, effort, and very much appreciated instructive comments.
Not a Chipping Sparrow? Yup, looked it up and now have another bird in my files, an American Tree Sparrow. First one I have photographed.
