    Default Short Eared Owl Fly-by

A lot of us here in the PNW are anxiously awaiting the return of the short eared owls for the winter. A few have been sighted already. I was able to spend about an hour with this one as she hunted. Not too easy to get a flight image as she was using an area a couple of miles long--and was wary of my vehicle.
Hoping for more to come. :)

Nice one, Bonnie. Sharp with good detail. I like how the grasses are blowing to the right.

I like the low angle for a flight shot. I might try taking some off the right side -- that yellow eye catches my eye as it is the brightest color in the picture

Loved this BB, would be tempted to clone out the black OOF focus branch on the right, just loved the comp, the two tone BG works well and the grass adds very well here... congrats..

Bonnie, Nice soft layered color tones in the BG. Love the wings up and the clear eye. Nice details.

Love the comp and the side-on view of the owl. I am sure it's a difficult image to get and you did an exceptional job capturing it! :)
