Default Blackpoll Warbler - Just in time!

This guy lingered for a record late date recently here in Ottawa. No Blackpoll Warbler had ever been recorded as late as November...this one had been observed daily this month, but last seen Nov. 15th, with this image taken on the 14th - I'd say I was just in time seeing (and photographing) it! Assuming it's migratory instinct finally took over (as opposed to death), I'm hoping it will make it down to South America safe and sound!

I do wish for a better BG on the right half of the image, but I am really happy with the perfect pose it offered me here :).

Canon 40D + 100-400L @400mm, aperture priority, evaluative metering, 1/200s., f/6.3, ISO 640, +0.7 EC, natural light, handheld, just about FF.

I like this one better than the earlier pic of same bird.
    Nice profile with tail spread.
    I hope he makes it.

Really nice color, sharpness....I never know how to handle those type of bright spots in the background but in this case they don't distract my eye too much. Nice job.

The perfect pose sure makes up for the right portion of the image but the beautiful markings on the bird keep my eye focused on it..... Well Done!

Very nice, the pine leafs make perfect setting for the unusual pose. I like the fanned tail,
and most of all the eye and the eye contact.
