    Default Theme: Beach Dunes

I went out looking for beach dunes. We just had a large storm which brought all the sand over the dunes. Not too many photo ops. yesterday. I tried to come up w/ a soft high-key look. I added an orton effect and de-saturated the image. I cloned several areas and added the dark spots at the FG. It's a bit tighter than I had originally hoped for but very large distracting elements were on both sides.(telephone pole and house in BG that showed over the dunes)

Well done Denise, I like your comp and the orton and desaturation. Gives it a really lonely feel to me.

Denise - it has a really dreamy, melancholy feel to it. Very nice.

Denise, Agree with previous comments on the dreamy look that the Orton provided. I also really like the blue/brown color palette. The image and effects convey a very tranquil, mellow mood.

It would really be neat if the marks in the sand were recognizable bird (or some other critter) tracks - maybe could be done with a brush?

    Thanks ladies for the feedback.
Patti, I may use that idea for another one of these. Thanks.
