Well things are starting to improve but should only get better in the coming weeks
this was one from this morning. I liked the slight bit of blur in the wings and the bg colors.

    Thanks For Looking

Great shot. Very nice detail for a BIF, especially a fast moving duck.

    James:

Two nice bufflehead shots on the site in the same day. Neat!

Techs very nice. Only "perfect world" wish would be for the dividing line in the BG to not intersect the duck.

Now if I can just get within 200 yards of our buffleheads!

James - Great catch of a speed demon duck! The bokeh looks like a flag or sorts, very unusual. Bufflehead is crisp and colorful. What are the littles glitter spots I'm seeing on his tail, neck and face? Almost looks like ice crystals. Just water I guess.

Excellent shot Jim! You got the iridescence, controlled the whites, and got it coming towards you. Looking forward to doing some duck 'hunting' with you!

I really like this one. Great job for a difficult to capture flight shot. I like the slight motion blur of the wings.

Great grab James, eye contact is very good, not sure what is at the top of the shot, but seems to distract somewhat.

Love seeing your work James, and this is another... great pose and detail of this incredible flight shot... and I really like the two tone background - adds something extra in my opinion.

Great image of a difficult bird James! I've been trying for a while to get an image as clean and sharp as this with such excellent exposure control. You've captured the iridescence in the head very well. I also like the slight blurring of the wings while the remainder of the bird is nice and sharp.

    Congrats!

Good detail and colours James, and good job on the exposure too. Overall nice and sharp, and this has an almost 3D feel to it.

Very sharp and nice picture, especially given the kind of duck that you shot which is extremely difficult to photograph :-). Congrats!!
