This image of an eagle was captured yesterday at the Conowingo dam, where I was delighted to meet Axel Hildebrandt!

I like the pose Norm. The image looks a little soft, and would benefit from some additional sharpening IMO. Some of the whites look hot. I might add a bit of canvas on the left.

Agree with Doug on sharpness & whites. I also think the bird needs as bit of saturation. I would select the bird only and up the reds just a little to make the browns pop a little more. Maybe the eyes and beak need a bit of yellows as well. The comp works well for me. Congratulations on this wonderful capture!

Norm - it's nice how the eagle's wing is behind its head. I met Axel, too

I like the incoming pose, eye contact and the thin clouds in the BG. I agree with Doug about sharpening and toning down the whites on the head. It's been nice meeting Linda and you.

Thanks to everyone who looked at and commented on this image.

In this re-post, I've worked on the hot spot and the sharpening, with what I hope is a better result.
