    This is a 100% crop of an owl I took a few days ago. I am very pleased with my 7D.

    Zenon, looks pretty good for a 100% crop, thanks for sharing. I deleted the second image because the forum software can't create a thumbnail otherwise. Please add the EXIF info manually.

    Thanks. As I said I'm not sure what word is about the 7D here but it is a very capable camera. Focus locks very fast in AI Servo. Much faster than my 50D did. It's no 1D series camera but not bad for the price.

    Deatils look very good - I'd be happy too with the result. Image could be lightened a bit more IMO. Is this a wild bird?

    Yes I think it could be lightened a bit more. No it is a Zoo bird. The local Zoo is my testing ground for new equipment.

    Thanks. I zoomed the raw to 200% and it looks a round human shape. My wife keeps telling me to get into shape. I keep telling her round is a shape

    Man this is sharp. Especially when you consider how much crop it represents on a high PD camera.
