What can I say..Bill..as most artists, you've found your niche..these bird images you've been posting are lovely pieces of art. Only thing I might consider doing with this one is removing the dark thing in the water.
    Keep up the good work..

nice look here Bill.....the bg is so much cleaner/smoother than in pose #1.
Might be a bit too much gold color cast on the bird, but I do realize
there can be reflective cross coloration.

    the bg colors are sweet

Bill, I love the pose on the rock w/ the feet showing. Nice use of the effect. Color cast noted. Beautiful BG smoothness and colors. Very nice composition!

Love the color of the background and the subtleness of the treatments. Agree with Paul's comment on the dark thing in the water. Color cast doesn't bother me.

Love the pose, Bill. Beautiful colors and BG. The color cast on the bird doesn't bother me, in fact, I like it! :)

Appreciate the comments. A couple of things worth mentioning. The morning light was orange, go figure, and created a cast of that color on things. Orange, being opposite on the color wheel from blue, turns blues into grays. Not too good for showing off little blue herons, but nice effect on water surfaces. As for the background smoothness, compared to the previous similar post; on that one I applied the two effects to the entire image, then erased them from the background. Essentially the background is the same as in the base image. If I applied Topaz Adj, erased the background, then applied Clean 2 to the entire image, which I sometimes do, the resulting background would have been smoother. regards~Bill
