    Cropped and sharpened a tad.

Comments welcome - Tall bird went with vertical crop - could maybe move him out of the middle a little.

Fantastic texture on the whites, wonderful use of soft light; perfect HA, perfect eye,...love it as presented. This is some of the best work I have seen you post. And you have posted some great work, this one is over the top!

Exposure techs are solid, I assume f/7 is a nice balance with TC and lens sweet-spot.

Really like this portrait, love the sharpness, the color, the details, the exposure and the good environment show. Composition looks good to me too.

Great eye! Absolutely terrific image. I'd vote for moving the bird off center just a bit more (maybe). Love the rock & seaweed - both texture and the fact that the blue-green is the perfect complementary color to the pink on the bird.
Definitely way better than just a keeper here, Lance.

    Cheers

    Hi Lance,
I like it a lot, great legs and great eye. I agree with Gail about croping some off the right side to get the bird out off center.

Thanks Lance. I have to see one of these one day. Meanwhile I can admire your beautiful photograph. Something ELSE this site does is provide eye candy for desk-bound biologists.
