Beautiful shot Roger. Love the gorgeous ugliness of the bird, head angle is great for this pose, great sharpness and detail. If it were mine, I might tone down the intense green of the BG just a bit, but works for me as is too. There is a bit of OOF something or artifacts from removing something to the left of the bird right on the edge of the frame that is mildly distracting.

Love the pose too Roger and the wonderful feather detail. My only suggestion would be to soften the green a tad. Great pose and eye contact and many thanks for sharing.

Welcome to BPN, Roger! I like the angle, soft light, BG and head turn. Sharpness looks good, too. I might tone down the highlights on the beak a bit and am surprised that we don't see the BG through the nostrils. Keep them coming!
