    Nice and sharp with lovely juvenile feather colouration and detail, Gary. Bright twigs in the BG could be toned down a bit but I like the colours echoing the colours on the wing coverts. I would have gone wide open on the aperture to try and blur out the BG as much as possible. With the bird parallel to the image sensor you don't need too much DOF to cover it fully. Slightly looser crop may be worth exploring.

    I like the 'hiking' pose and eye contact. I agree with Tony about a wider crop and wish the light were less harsh.

    I'd agree the crop is a bit tight, and the bg is busier than I would like, but a typical Bosque bg. I'm also seeing a slight blueish color cast.
