Barnegat Light Update

Despite several reports this past week on the birding forums of large numbers of eiders, scoters and a small number of Harlequins, I saw none of these birds this morning. Some dunlin, ruddy turnstones and purple sandpipers but not huge numbers. No long-tails ducks, no mergansers, no loons. Hopefully in a few weeks.

It does seem a bit premature; I'll be waiting for the really cold weather. :)
