Shot this September while the Surfbirds were passing through. I am going to try to get back into the winter songbirds when I have time.

I do wish we could see the feet...

Nice and sharp with lovely textures amongst the mussels and seaweed, Aidan. Wondering if a marginally higher angle may have given an even blue BG without the bright area at the top.

I like the details in bird and the crop looks good. I also like the habitat with some detail. Very nicely done. Dave

Thanks everyone. I kind of like the white surf in the BG...

Gyorgy, thanks, I am headed to the beach next weekend. I plan to go for both this winter. You just can't beat the shorebirds. :)

Perfect techs, and great pose by this fella. I bet you hoped very hard for it to step on top of the "perch"! Speaking of the "perch"...it looks great with those mussels and urchins (?). I would however eliminate the separated bit in LLC.

Daniel, you read my thoughts. Sometimes they just won't cooperate. Thanks for the suggestion on the separated bit, I will go back and remove it.

PS. No urchins, just clumps of seaweed. Those rocks were not very pleasant to crawl over....

Aidan, I love the soft and smooth BKGR, I am a fan of waves so feel its good to include at the top. I only wish to have more space at the bottom as those shells look really beautiful.
