Default That Tree on the Left

Back on 11/3, I posted an image entitled "That Old Covered Bridge". Here, on my blog and on Facebook, I received inquiries about that tree on the left. Folks seemed to want to see more of it. Now I don't have any images of the bridge with the entire tree on the left but what I do have is an image, made the same time, of just the tree on the left.

Again, an IR image. Topaz Adjust (Spicify Preset as starting point). Topaz Simplify (BuzSim Preset as starting point). Desaturated to B&W. If the image seems overly dark to you, it is because I want it that way.

Canon Rebel XT converted for IR by LifePixel, 24-70mm f/2.8L lens, handheld

Ed, I like the wispy look to the tree. The IR work looks nice. I was wondering how it would look as a horizontal.

Horizontal would be nice to see but this has enough room to go vertical. I might crop a bit off the bottom (just above your signature line.) Excellent use of IR here and you kept the blacks AND whites in check - there isn't a single place that looks too dark or blown.

    Hi Ed,
I love the tones in this and the very artistic feel - this could almost belong in a fairy tale. I like the crop as it is.
    Best,
    Nicki
