Here in Ontario, we have very few large Mammals to photograph, every November the whitetail bucks, within the city limits, start to show themselves. I had just come back from photographing Teals, was driving up a busy 4 lane road when I saw this guy. You can tell when they're in rut, they do things you'd never be able to do in September...this buck let me get close enough that so I could fill the frame with my 300mm.
I usually just shoot away, this time I had to compose in camera.
Hope you like it :)

Reason: Add Contrast
Real nice portrait Paul. Perfect sharpness and dof. Could do with a contrast boost and the oof foliage a tad unfortunate but that's how it is with deer. Nicely done.
Hi Paul: A really nice, whitetail shot with a beautiful prairie background. I would try switching to 8 x 10 aspect ratio (portrait) to pull a little off the top but that is really a matter of subjectivity. Thanks.
