From this past weekend at Anhinga Trail. Sun was still a little harsh when we got there. About 50% crop, Shadows & highlights, and curves

Love the flirting eye and the feather details, this image has a seductive feeling to it. The light gave you the beak shadow on the body which is a bit distracting. I might try to sharpen a bit more.

looks like you handled the light fairly well, but i'd try to tone down that busy bg. looks like you are tuning in the long lens technique well!! nice job!

how many birds were out there? hand full of cormies and about the same amout of anhingas two weeks ago.

Hi Oscar First light is just after six :) Tough this time of the year !!!

Like the tight crop and pose particularly the look, would try finding one and isolating rather than against a busy bg !! ... btw Ospreys are nesting at Flaming already !!!

I like the bird's posture very much, and the overall composition is compelling. The contrasty light and the bg are a bit of a problem.

Oz, I like the pose and you handled the light as best as you could. Wish the bird was an extra few feet from the BG. Let's go to Anhinga early in the morning when I get back.
