    Default Arches and a Rattlesnake

I shot this the first part of nov. when I was at Arches National Park Utah in the north window. I was taking a photo and heard a buzzing and saw him behind a rock, and he was not happy about all the people taking photos in the arch. He finally went looking for a less traveled area. It is a Midget Faded Rattlesnake and there is not that many in the park. I shot this with my backup camera and only had a few seconds before he disappeared, so the setting were not right for this photo.

Dennis, I didnt realise rattle snakes were so long - this fellow looks pretty mean, and doesnt look midget to me. Well comped with the him diagonally across the frame.

Ditto Stu. One of those occasions when going away is good. TFS

Very nice diagonal dividing the frame, good job to get the whole snake in.

Hi Judy, I was close as this is full frame I heard something buzzing after some kids walked by him. So I had my spare camera with me and walked over (wished I had looked at my settings) there he was. I guess he decided enough and bugged out of there which was my plan as did not want any kids to get bitten.
