Another of my favorite subjects. The BG is as shot in regards to a split in light and shadow. I did remove some OOF branches on the RHS. Note the high ISO, as I was shooting in Tv, with auto ISO.

Fabulous banking pose and killer eye contact Stu. Not bad for auto iso either. Nicely done.

You and your pigeons really rock, this banking is superb, you must have nailed the EXP for the image to look so clean.

Well caught, Stuart. Excellent sharpness and lighting. Vertically split BG looks distracting on thumbnail but not bad in full version.

Hi Stuart: You sure can make a pigeon look awesome! Beatiful eye and love the tail fan. I'm not in love with the split-tone background but I wouldn't mess with it.

Way wicked pose Stuart!! you sure made this Pigeon justice (although "Rock Dove" does sound nicer!). Like Tony, I find the split BG looks better than the thumbnail suggests, but I am not a big fan of the halo effect surrounding the bill. Still, very well captured :-)

Wow, you only usually see detail like this on larger subjects. Love all the colors and it really makes you appreciate even the most commonly seen birds. BG also looks amazing, a real winner for sure.

Nice one Bhai, nice pose, light works great and nice eye contact. I too would suggest you get rid of the halo around the beak.. still loved this, congrats..

Stuart this is freaking beautiful! I too love the pidgeon. A bird so misrepresented and under appreciated where I live--a bird so adept at survival. The variety of plumage is what gets me. Endless versions. What a shot you captured here and the top view with a sweet bg rocks. My only suggestion is to tone down the brighter half of the bg to mellow it out as far as it's overwhelming power and to get the bird to pop out from the bg better. Very well done and a very sweet shot.

Stuart, this is beautiful -- love the lighting and background. Really nice job! The one thing I'm not crazy about is the squarish crop. Did you have other options? I'd just be interested because it's such a nice image.

Stuard, I really like the flight pose here...real sweet pose.
Only thing I'm not crazy bout is the spit BG.
