    Default A Glorious Day in Taos

    Had a wonderful day in Taos and just had to share a view. I photographed this image handheld with my Canon 5D Mk II at sunset. ISO 1000, f/16.0, 1/80 sec, EF100-400 f/4.5-5.6L IS USM, 200mm, Circular Polarizer, Evaluative Metering, Auto Exposure, Auto WB, No Flash. Comments Welcome.....

    No flash, you would have needed a big one here (smile). I am on work monitor so I cannot see fine detail - will comment later. Composition looks great!

    Hi Richard - love the composition - on my screen the sky looks a little unnatural - unrealstic shade of ble or something. could just be my screen - or that wonderful part of the world!!!

    Hi Richard Stunning view !!!

    Not sure about the use of a Polarizer? No glaring surfaces, light is dim and had to go to a high ISO. Tech wise would have gone without it and also used a wider f stop .. maybe 8 .. at that distance you got plenty dof At that time is fun to set the WB to cloudy or just custom and go to 9000K can switch back later since you are shooting raw !!!

    i have no clue what the colors are supposed to be out there, but it looks like there is a slight magenta cast to it. nice composition. cant wait to see the church. i know you got it!!
