    Default Bearded Vulture Landing

This juvenile Bearded Vulture made a brief appearance right in front of the hide. Unfortunately the light is not the best, but I'm still very happy with it. I'd like to know what you think - please feel free to comment.

Looks like decent light to me. I like this image alot. The close up action is very cool and this is one cool looking bird. Nice bg too. I like the close look and don't mind the clipped wings at all. His tail feathers are a bit ratty, but not much you could do about that. Very well done, Isak.

I agree - the clipped wings do not take away from the intensity or the artistic value of this shot. I love that eye! Awesome.

I don't think the lighting is bad at all...
On the contrary to others, I do feel that it would have been a killer image if wings were'nt clipped. But then since it was unexpected & right infront of u, it could not hav been helped...
Overall, its a fantsatci image with warm colours & excellent sharpness.

I like this a lot! Great light, details, BG and the composition works well, too. A bit more separation between beak and wing would have been great but I like it as is.

Fantastic light for me, composition really highlights the eye. I particularly like the light on the chest feathers, very nice BG.

Looks like great light to me... I particularly like the light on the chest feathers as well. Wonderful action... Clipped wings don't bother me, but it'd be fun to see the full spread as well. I bet a super close portrait of the head and neck would be fabulous too... Highlighting the contrasting "beard" against the lighter chest feathers and those marvelous eyes.

Wish we had vultures here that were this pretty!

Jim Neiger I hear is a super in flight shooter. If he says it is a good one, then it must be. I saw the potential here right away. I love air brake images. I don't mind the clipped wings at all. There is no perfect picture out there. This one comes close however.
