    40D, Canon 100-400@170mm, 1/3200 f 5.6, ISO 800 (for the bird) This is two images combined. What is your
    opinion. Is this "ethical" since I have said what I did? Please your opinions.

    Arsdel, I thinks it's perfectly reasonable to present it as a combined image as long as you disclose it as you have. Trying to pass it off as something else wouldn't be honest or wise. For the image to work optimally lighting quality on bird and BG should be similar and the selection of the bird should be finessed so that the edges are not so obvious. The cocked head of the bird is very cute.

    As long as you disclose what you have done it is perfectly fine. I've never tried doing this myself, but you want to make sure that the sun is shining from the same angle on the subject and the background. It looks like they were both taken under different lighting conditions. I like the idea with the flowers behind the bird.
