CS4 Malfunction

I need help. Suddenly today PS is acting up. I can not open any tool in my tool bar but the hand tool. No healing brush, zoom, elliptical or any other tool. I've tried right clicking. It doesn't help. Will re-boot.

Mac or PC? If Mac, Download "Cocktail" and have it clear all of your caches. I have to do this once a month or so and PS CS4 starts behaving again.

Try resettings your prefs. While PS is launching hold down CTRL + ALT + SHIFT on Windows or OPT + CMD + SHIFT on the Mac.

If that doesn't help try resetting your workspace back to Essentials.

The PC running Vista crashed and CS4 worked fine again. Didn't know about the cache. Thanks guys...

Often when that happens, the space bar is stuck. Just tap it a couple of times to unstick it.
