Default Carry on for camera, 600 mm and more

Can anyone recommend an airline carry on bag that will hold my D300s, a Nikon 600mm lens, plus a few smaller lenses?
My trip to Bosque will be my first trip since getting the 600.

I highly recommend the Kiboko bag. I believe your 600 will fit on one side. On the other side you should easily be able to get your D300s and several lenses. Its an expensive bag, but its very well built.

I prefer the Kiboko to a roller since the Kiboko also makes for an excellent field bag.

Can't say enough good things about the Kiboko bag, just like Aravind. Incredibly well made.

I posted this link in another thread--it is a list of equipment that fits in the bag. (It's Canon stuff but you will get the idea): link

Since you have a 600, I'd also recommend the Think Tank Airport Security. I've used it the past few years at Bosque. It is a roller bag, so it's not one you would take in the field hiking. At Bosque, you will mainly shoot close to your car, and can work out of the bag. I also have to gate check my bag as our airport mainly flies commuter jets. I hate to do it, but the Security has come through fine. It will fit in the overhead of US regular jets. You can darn near fit a family of four in that bag!

Both bags are great, depending on your style of travel.

Try the Italian HPRC 2550W that goes head on with the Pelican 1510. This one is also aircraft cabin size compliant internationally. Either 600mm or 800mm glass is not problem. At the same time you can have 3 camera bodies and flash unit in it.

check this out for cost -

I ordered a Pelican PCS283 case yesterday as I need a case soon so I felt I had better order one.
