The wing position in this one is really nice, HA and eye contact are good too and good job of handling high ISO.
I would add canvas to the left and selectively blur the BG even more.

Great pose and soft light shows the feather detail well, Desmond. Exposure looks good. Maybe a touch oversharpened on my monitor. The water splashing around the legs adds motion. Good job

Lovely posture and the soft light has really enhanced the feather detail. Sharpness looks good on my monitor. Agree with a tad more blurring of the background.

Love the pose, soft colors and details. I would like to see a different crop--more room to the left and maybe a tad less at the top.
    Super nice!

Riefel? The light on the bird is fantastic, it really brings out the colour contrasts. BG could be improved and I don't feel the framing is as good as it could be. I agree with the previous comments about adding more to the left.

I havent had a chance to get to Riefel for a few weekends as the weather hasnt been on our side but should be getting a storm jacket for my lens soon and then I have no excuse.

That's what D700 can give you.

Here's one at ISO4000, no noise reduction by me:
