I know this is far from a technically well done photo but the expression on both of the eagles captivated me especially due to the holiday. I probably could have done just as well with a point and shoot since I was pulling into a field next to a lake to take a phone call and just grabbed the camera out of its case with it's last settings.

MKIII, EF 500 f4 w/ 1.4x, 1/3200, f5.6, ISO 400, +.3 EC, av mode, noon day sun, always hand held.

Technical-schmecnical. I love this photo. You got two of them together!!! Great expressions. And it's a grab-shot.

I'm still in wishing mode - wishing I had my first one.

I wish to get two so close someday here in the northeast

Just a little blown highlites inthe whites and a little bit of noise in the sky which is typical for clear blue

easy to run nr or blur on the bg

    Congrats on the photo

Great to have to in the frame. The light looks a bit harsh and I would prefer a lower angle.

It was high noon under a bright Fl. sun so not much could be done in that regard. The angle was steeper than I would have liked. I in fact usually have a step ladder in the bed of my truck that I will set up there to decrease the angle when possible when photographing perched or nesting eagles.
