    Default Common Kestrel (Male)

    Bangalore, India. Canon 30D with Canon 500mm + 1.4x
    ISO 400, f8 , 1/320shutters.
While photographing in the grasslands, there was a sudden outburst of rain for around 10 mins and immediately the clouds cleared and the an awesome light was shown and this beautiful raptor completed the photograph.

What an amazing look at this kestrel, Clement. The pose is great and the bg and perch look awesome. Is that a spider web inter-mixed in the branches of the perch? That's what it looks like to me.

The IQ is excellent, great bird too, love the detail,
nice clean BG, great HA. I wish the perch was simpler,
but good as is too. Very nice!

Excellent shot! Awesome detail, light and colours! If anything would crop a bit off the top to make it a standard 2:3.

Good angle, look-back pose, sharpness and BG. I might desaturate the feet a bit.

Another great shot Clement. You are really showing the beauty of a kestrel here and razor sharp as well. Great catch!

Clement, not that I expect anything less from you...but this one is really one of your best. light check. head angle check. Bg check. perch check. species check. sharpness check. exposure check.
