    Default Lazy Leopard

Kirkmann's camp, Sabi Sabi Private game reserve. After having spent time in a river bed with wild dogs and their pups, we came across this leopard lounging in a tree. Most times, I would say the BG is too busy, but somehow the leopard seems to pop nicely. At least I got a slight head turn. I always make sure not to cut the tails off in capturing the image.

Nice one, Stu. This is a really relaxed cat! I like the image as is, including BG- it shows the habitat as it is. Direct eye contact would have been great, but I'm sure your driver was not about to go and tap the cat on the shoulder:). The over-the-shoulder look is a great bonus, keeping this one out of the "backsides" bin. Thx for sharing.

Be happy with this Stu. Very nice and relaxed and the peek over the should an added bonus. Like the placement in the image.

With most leopard shots, you are bound to get a 'busy' bg, Stu; so, don't be disappointed! At least, you got the head turn you were hoping for!
