I shot this image quite a few years ago at Horicon NWR in Wisconsin. It was a slide that I had digitized by a not too experienced store! :( But it has remained one of my favorites. I used a 300mm f/2.8L on my EOS-1, with 1.4x and 2.0x extensions. Considering the distance, it worked well.

Modifications for this posting includes; Benson DAP, Dry Brush and Glass Diffusion.

    Enjoy!

Mark, This has a nice soft feel to it. Almost like an impressionist painting. For me a little bit off the bottom. Nicely done.

Very painterly effect. I agree with a crop off the bottom. I like the softer colors you chose.

Thats a real paint effect you have in this Mark. A crop, maybe, but I like it the way it is as well.

All the best Mark, great effects.

Nice scene and treatment. The colors look very natural. I really like how the white line on the frame matches the treatment of the photo.

Thank you all for viewing and comments. Appreciate them.

As for the crop, I did crop the image to fit the scene, with the doe and the three bucks in the LR and LL 1/3 intersection points, respectively. Removing more of the bottom would eliminate the darker grass area and in my view not look good. But ... Thanks for the comment. There are more than one way to show it. Appreciate yours as well.
