Well lets see who looked at which beauty first !
I know the head angle of one is not perfect !
One of the advantages of beach photography.

Chas,
Alfred can Identify the species very well..
Al,
Do you remember the "Silver Belly Gas guzzler" in flight ? :)
Nice bokeh!
The color rendition is spot on...:D:)
.... depends from which point of view Chas ... if you ask the bird is just perfect !! :)
What bird ?
This is one of the situations where focus on the background problem isn't actually bad!

If your ethics allow it I would clone out the huge white foreground element as it is rather distracting...
Is that a Great Tit in the background? What kind of bird could it be otherwise? :D
The closer species is definitely better for me:
- never talks back
- always hangs by your side at the beach
- but won't buy you a beer :(
Cool image!
Hmmm, looks like whatever camera body you are using has serious autofocus problems.......
I wud have kept more room at the top. Who cares about virtual feet?
Very striking composition Chas and I can see you are making the most out of your compositions. Love the caption too.
I can't belive you chose to focus on the bird...I'm so proud of you for some weird reason! Very funny image, Charles...thanks for the smile.
C'mon now, Harold...don't burst my bubble!

I would have liked a lot more DOF here!
Glad everyone has a sense of humor and I didn't get a single lecture !
Charles:
Forget the girl and the bird! I thought that the beauty of Sanibel was in the lovely seashells that litter the beaches after the tide recedes.

Charles do those pinks get brighter during breeding season?:D:D
Thanks Charles for uploading this, since we are too stress out and pictures like this makes us laugh.
Very nice image with a great BG. The gentle curves of the BG could use a bit more sharpening!
Humor and fun is never out of style !
Charles, between you and her, its very clear who the egret is preferring to look at :-)
Superb bokeh!
