    Default Playing with new lights

I've got a set of Elinchrom Rangers and a set of Alien Bees that I'm testing out. So far, the Bees are my favorite.

This was done with two lights. One on a Brolly box behind the subject with a bit of feathering as almost a hair light. The other was on a shoot through umbrella to camera right.

I removed the catchlight from the second light.

    Very nice portrait Jim,
I like the pose and the lighting is spot on. The Alien Bees are a good choice, they are light, durable, and for the price point, you can't beat it...good show...

    Jim ,
Nice portrait. I just love the attentive look you caught. Ya gotta love them Bees! I have had mine for over three years now. Still learning.

    God bless,

    Thanks everyone.

This started out as a comparison of the Bees to the Ranger. I have to say that for portability, I love the Rangers, but they are very limiting.
