Backlit against bright clouds. I selected the background as my white point in levels to drive it white from the light whitish gray of the original image file.

Jim, nice placement in the frame and good wing position. Love the fact that the pupil is facing you as if he's giving you the "what are you Looking at" look. There seems to be some jagged edges along the bird maybe do to compression? Did you get this from land and if you don't mind sharing where? I'd love to get a chance at these guys. Congrats
Hi Brian...
Images created at the mouth of the Merrimack River in a gale last Thursday and Friday from shore.
I checked this morning and unfortunately, there were non present...it figures since I actually had some sun this morning.
Good exposure Jim, and I like the flying posture with the downstroke of the wings. Well captured.

Like the white on white exposure here, wing position is good too. TFS

I love the details on these birds! Well done Jim! I like the presentation for it is a little different.
Hey Jim, I wish the bill was as crisp as the tail. Good exposure in these circumstances. Good comp too, and I like the far wing primaries peeking behind the front wing.
High key works well here, Jim. Would love to see this big.
