    Backlit against bright clouds. I selected the background as my white point in levels to drive it white from the light whitish gray of the original image file.

    Nikon D300s, 500 VR, TC17EII, ISO 1600, f8, 1/500, CW metering, +2.7 EV

    Jim, nice placement in the frame and good wing position. Love the fact that the pupil is facing you as if he's giving you the "what are you Looking at" look. There seems to be some jagged edges along the bird maybe do to compression? Did you get this from land and if you don't mind sharing where? I'd love to get a chance at these guys. Congrats

    Hi Brian...

    Images created at the mouth of the Merrimack River in a gale last Thursday and Friday from shore.

    I checked this morning and unfortunately, there were non present...it figures since I actually had some sun this morning.

    Good exposure Jim, and I like the flying posture with the downstroke of the wings. Well captured.

    Hey Jim, I wish the bill was as crisp as the tail. Good exposure in these circumstances. Good comp too, and I like the far wing primaries peeking behind the front wing.
