    They are also known as White Tailed Gnu's. Once hunted to near extinction, they are mainly found in private reserves in southern Africa. This was taken in Rietvlei nature reserve close to my house. There are no predators in this reserve, so these guys will live a long and safe life. The ground in the BG is sloping naturally.

    You did very well here Stu. I know how difficult it is to get good eye contact with these guys and you have it here for both subjects, with good accurate colour, sharp and well exposed. I also like the panorama composition you have selected. One small issue, the two out of focus guinea-fowl that distract a little.

    Beautiful capture Stuart and you did well to get such good eye contact with both in lovely lighting. This is a first for me and many thanks for sharing this great image with us. I too like your choice of cropping . Fine work.

    Lovely image. Good eye contact and great colours. I also like the pano crop. Well presented mate.

    One of my favorite animals... normally very skittish and difficult to get close to...

    good choice of crop ,the pano really works well, good lighting , alert pose a bonus...
