    Interesting portrait of an interesting bird, what was the fly doing there? :D self critique on the bill is spot on.

    I like the sharpness and eyelashes and wish for a better light angle. If it were mine, I might clone out the OOF fly in the upper left.

    The side lighting suits the pose Marc, and shows up the head, eye and beak nicely. I agree, the fly doesnt add to the image. A faster ss may have got it sharp LOL.

    Look at those eye lashes, would make most ladies jealous.;) I like the side lighting with his head angle here. Nice BG and good job on exposure. I'd get rid of the fly also and maybe crop a little from the right. Congrats
