    Sorting thru old images, this was an amazing evening...the full crop and the dangling rabbit carcass tells the whole story. (The rabbit was too big at first, so the hawk ate most of her, then drug the rest to the tree.)

    1/800, f8, ISO400
    1DM2n, 500 + 1.4tc

    The answer is: yes, but only once.

    Great light and details, maybe a bit S/H and there is a bit posterization in the sky.

    Axel, I see that in the sky...what is it and what makes it? It isn't in the tiff version.

    It looks like a jpg artifact. Most of the time it happens because of compression or if you open and rework the jpg file.
