    Default Mallard Hen sitting pretty

This sweet little hen was sitting just so for me yesterday. Not much light, most coming from well to the left. I liked the dimensional effect it gave her. This is right on the edge of being too tight for me.

    Advice always appreciated.

Hey Randy, the semi-sideligth has created interesting effects on the duck. This gal looks well fed! I agree with it being borderline tight - but it works well for web (perhaps not so in print). I would either eliminate, or desaturate the lighter spot in URC. Nice stroking effect on the water.

Lovely close up Randy, and I like the puffed pose. Good detail and colours on the chest, and as Dan has stated, interesting texture on the water.

Very nice Randy. You gotta love that water. As well as the fine feather detail the very clear and sharp eye do the little lady justice. Well done. Dave

    Randy...

Really nice effect on the water.

Would have liked a hair more room at the bottom and I would likely have cloned out what looks like the one stray feather and bright spot along with the brighter yellow spot in the upper right.

Head and bill look as though they can be a hair sharper?

    Wow Randy,

I really like this. The colors and effects you captured in the water are very cool and I like the little ball pose this lady gave you. Nice job on the detail and lighting.
