    I think these dragonflies are called tiger tails. Taken in the Pilanesberg nature reserve.

    Canon 50D
    100-400 @ 400mm
    1/125
    F/7.1
    ISO 100

    Exp Comp 0
    Hand Held.

    Stuart, great clarity on the DF from head to tail - not an easy feat! Two suggestions - it feels a little over exposed to me - maybe bump the high and mid tones down a notch. Also, nice that you got the one eye looking at us but comp would have been stronger with a front view compared to this side view. Still, very strong image for details.

    Good looking insect and love the overall detail !!! Like how you kept it parallel to the film plane for managing the dof !!! Excellent !!!
