    This is a Lorikeet at the San Diego Wild Animal Park.


    Taken using 100-400L at 320mm, f/5.6, 1/50, ISO800

    Comments and critique very welcome.

    I like the tight crop and clean bg, eye placement is on the intersecting third which makes it compositionally strong !!! Image is sharp and well exposed.

    PS wise would desaturate just a little, I know these birds are some kind of colorful but the camera does over saturate some colors particularly red/yellow A little less saturation in the yellow will help some in detail. One other thing to consider is the Upper Right area which is lighter than the rest of bg, normally you want to darken some ... will draw attention to center !!!

    Hi Maruthy,
    I like the composition, image and capture, you have good feather details and a sharp clear eye. Agree with Mr. Forns on desaturating the yellows a tad...looking good, keep them coming...:cool:

    Reds and yellows are always a problem on these guys - we get them in our Backyard - never stay still for long though.
    Agree with the above comments - looking forward to more :)
