Another 7 lover. Heavy graphics user and have had none of the teething problems I had with Vista. MS have this one right ;). Fast and smooth. CPU has none of the continuing running high resources in the background problem and ram eating.

I recently upgraded to 7 64Bit, so far all of these programs have been running without issues.

    Hi

Running 7 Ultimate 64 bit, CS4 64, and like 7 very much. The features of 7 are out of sight and opening search very fast and thorough. Only fly in ointment is that many add on have not been upgraded to 64 bit, though some have a beta available. With 32 bit CS4 on my system, I can use them there if desired. Also find that I can use the stand alone version most have.

I am very glad to dump vista, and if I want to use XP, some versions have XP Mode.

    FWIW

BTW: 7 comes with a 64 & 32 bit CD's. Easy upgrade from Vista. XP requires clean installation.

    Hi Lance

Very good advice. I have been putting it off for years, mostly due to the cost of buying new Photoshop and other programs.

Hi Gus - about 4 hours away - but do get down that way quite often.

    Gus,
There may be less of an obstacle that you think. A friend of mine recently made the PC to Mac switch. He called Adobe, and for a nominal cost (I think $10) for shipping him a CD, they switched his Photoshop registration.

    Hi Chris:

Wonderful news, I will check with them when I get back from Phoenix on Saturday. CS4 would be great, and maybe Lightroom too. However, CS4 would do it for me.

    Thank you very much, Chris.

    Best regards

    Gus

Thanks to all for your feedback. Sounds like Windows 7 is much better than anything that was introduced before.
