Had a great time staying up Madera Canyon, AZ all week with Gina & her sister, Lee from Bournemouth, UK all week. Birds were very scarce, however, we kept busy hiking and photographing many different subjects. Richard, co-owner of Madera Kubo B&B with his wife Cora, loves old Dodge trucks and this 1937 1/2 ton pickup is used for picking up firewood.
I was fooling around with digital painting it and came up with these 5 samples. I like #4, and if you like any I would like to know your preference.
Hi Gus, Posting guidelines only allow for one image per post- I understand you are the mad painter:D:eek::)Hope this doesn't cramp your style too much!;)
Nice images and I am going with #5 as Indranil stated Very nice water colored texture!!
My interpretation is that, yes, only one image is allowed, however, the number of reposts of that one image has always been allowed, and you are not allowed a different image to be used in the same post.
FWIW
Uncle Gus
BTW: I have seen more than one different image in previous posts e.g. "Eager to learn"

Hi Gus, Just got word from one of the big wigs:D Only one post per day and you are allowed to repost that one post-but only once.:) The site has been adjusting the guidelines etc. to keep up with members needs. Not sure if this is a newer rule- but at least we got that cleared up.:p:D:) Thanks for your patience with me Uncle Gus-It is most appreciated.
NBD, I'm all for consistent fair easy to read posting suggestions that are regulated to one and all. Gina and I both feel we get more than our money's worth from the great CC's we read from all postings including our own.
Keep smiling, Young Lady
Uncle Gus
BTW: My idea of doing digital paintings is because: I don't care to do any more intensive editing on photos after reading a great article in Outside Magazine feature maintaining integrity with finished photographs. Contests should not be the only medium for governing our actions. (Guess I didn't leave my soap box under the bushes of Hyde Park Circa '44):D:confused:;);)
Gus, That was a good read. Very interesting views and points.
I like the DAP program and have bought it myself. They offer free upgrades and the new upgrade is awesome. So I am always interested in seeing your painted images as they give me great ideas for my own work.:)
Its kinda funny ya know. When people often try to improve on what they have already done and gotten out of the head, 99% of the time, I prefer the 1st image, and this is another one :). Love the first image Gus. Fantastic colours, light and work.
I have a friend here thats done a series for National Geographic NZ on old cars that have been dumped in a National Park. This reminds of that series. So personally, I love the theme and the image.
