I haven't been out photographing for a few days, so I reached back a bit and found this one. It has been cropped and sharpened only. Before posting here, it seemed a lot sharper in my program; what might cause that? Can the upload process have an effect? Sure wish I had got its feet . . .

Hi Wendell - when you downsize be sure to use BICUBIC sharper.
Capture angle is a little steep - exposure looks good and the bird stands out well against the blue sky.
Would run some NR on the background and might crop some of the negative space on the LHS.

    Keep em coming.

    Hi Wendell,
Mr. Peters summed it up nicely. I like the fine details in the feathers...keep them coming...:)

    wendell,

Excellent, agree with brother Lance's comments. Just curious how does histogram look, did you spread data into the furthest right stops. I was thinking it might be a tad underexposed but you might just be protecting the highlights -well done.

Jeff, the red, green and blue channels appear separately and are long and slender peaks in the middle of the histogram; they are not spread to the right.
