    Default bird id please

    Does anyone know what kind of bird this is? I would like to get an ID. Taken at our local nature center in southern Minnesota.

    Hi Pat. I think this is an immature male Common Yellowthroat. The nice yellow throat with a hint of black mask developing and olive green back fit.

    Looks like a young male Common Yellowthroat, you can see the beginnings of his black mask and the habitat is right for this warbler.

    Looks like Dan and I were responding at the same time...and we agree.

    Thanks Dan and Jim. The juvenile looks different than the adult. Appreciate your help. I have a little project going and am going to make a photo book of some of my favorite bird photos.
