Welcome to INW sir... looks like half of INW is suddenly here in the last week...lol...
Lovely composition of beautiful species...I would tone down the tree trunk and branch if mine as the whites distract from the bird...

    -Cheers,
    Rohan

Great portrait. I like the textured background and the space around the bird. Lovely subject. My only criticism would be that the crop passes through the trunk a little far to the left (that is, I would a little more of it rather than see it cut through).

Welcome to BPN Shrikant! Love the pose, perch, and BG. I might blend the light vertical line running behind the bird's head. And I'd tone down the perch a bit. Look forward to more of your images!

Lovely looking bird. I really like the combination of clours in bird and bg, as well as nice tail feathers. Well done. Dave

    Red carpet welcome to BPN!!!
Hope you can feel right at home here.

Love the details in the plumage, hard to get on dark birds, and the pose.
Thanks to you guys for letting us enjoy species we wouldn't see otherwise :)

Welcome to BPN Shrikant. Super pose, and Im wondering why a minus EC for a dark bird. There's good detail on the upper body, but a + EC would have brought out more detail. Keep them coming.

Hi Shrikant: I've never seen this bird before but it sure is beautiful, at least as you have portrayed it here. Nice shot and great composition. I like it as shot just fine. Looking forward to more beauties from you.

Thanks, everyone for the warm welcome!
Mr. Stuart Bowie - I wanted the entire bird in focus so the f 6.3 and did not want to go above 400 ISO. The bird was at least 25ft away and I required a decent shutter speed and therefore used - 1/3 EC
