These little guys are hard for me to get position on. Finally looks like a clean shot on a decent perch. I know, bad head angle. I think I hit the whites except for the head. A cold wind was blowing his feathers back.

Agree with your assessment Bill Lots of good things with this image Particularly like the exposure on this difficult bird Not much you can do about the perch but a slimmer one would have been great !!! Excellent capture !!!

I love the markings on this bird and the streak of color on the head. Nice BG and the perch his not bad in my opinion. A little more head turn would take this up another notch!
