    Default Breaking a rule...

From Bosque Del Apache, two Sandhill Cranes make an interesting composition in the sweet light of early morning. I know this is breaking the rule of separation, but does it work at all? I like the position of the two sets of wings - one up and one down.

Converted in LR2, then tweaked in CS4

    50D, EF400mm f/5.6L
    Manual mode, f/5.6@1/1000 ISO 200 WB 5100K
AI Servo autofocus, hand-held no flash

hi Kerry - Different - amazing timing to get them like this - cant make up my mind whether I like it or not. On one hand it kinda makes it look like a deformed two headed monster and on the other its kinda cool.
Exposure looks good, BG is awesome - ALL the techs look solid.

I'm with Lance on that. Other than that, what rule? :)

I like the wings and legs merge but not the heads. If the the heads are more close together (to almost look like one head) or far apart (to clearly separate into two headed bird) would work for me. This is not breaking the rules, it's being creative ;)

Thanks for your thoughts everyone. I was fascinated by the synchronized flight of these large but elegant birds but agree that there are better ways to showcase that. I have others that I will post for your consideration.
