    Default wings up

    340mm

    f7.1 at 1/2000s
    Manual mode
    Auto white balance
    handheld

Adjust white balance, set white/black point, adjust curve to bring out more white detail, crop, clone out perch and part of another bird on the left side, NR, and sharpen.

Did try to lighten up the eye using brightness adjustment but it came out funny so decided not to, might try other method later.

I know terns are common, but it was my first time seeing one last week when I was shooting gulls. Wish for a more symmetry wing shape and more separation of the head and wing. Surely will go back again for these terns.

All comments and suggestions are welcome.

The pose is great as it is and makes a dynamic composition with the bird's left wing providing a lead line that draws my eye down to the head. I would love to see this with whiter whites: I think you may have overdone bringing out the detail in the whites and made too many of them appear grey. If the background is as far away as it seems to be, maybe you could have used a slightly smaller aperture to keep the wingtips sharper (at the risk of more motion blur).

a slight boost in contrast and a little sharpening of the eye will polish this one off nicely. love the raised wings and the contact with the bird. awesome job!

I like little Mr or Miss Muslcles - the perch provides a bit of an optical illusion since the left side is perfectly verticle and the right side appears to be leaning. Good presentation; also agree with Harold.

    Hi Thanaboon,
I like this very much, love the raised wing pose. You have fine feather details, the color rendition is good, and I like the direct eye contact...well done...

    Killer wing position !!!

The biggest improvement for this image was having the bird in breeding plumage, they just don't look right at this stage !! Just love it and wish it was mine !!!

    beautiful image....sweet tonality and color.
Beside the eye, would definitely address the "strong" halo around the legs
