I feel very happy about all your lovely comments and congrats for me & my new lens :)
Thank you very much! It's a big fun to be here and share all those images with you.

Now, this is one of the kingfisher pictures in horizontal orientation. I tried to pick one, that won't get an alarm from the HAP! Hope I did well in that case....
As the bird felt quite relaxed, he (it's a male) got that fluffy look....

I like the details, soft light and details and I don't think the HAP is going near this image. :) I might clone out the blue corner (lower left) and maybe upper right and find the OOF perch behind the bird a bit distracting. You could do a test with ISO settings. Theoretically, ISO 800 is cleaner than 640.

Beautiful bird, nice image. I like the detail in the head feathers and how you can look into his eye. Well done.

Rosi, how are you doing handholding the big guy (or are you) ? The Images look great! This is my favorite small bird. Sort of a cross between a Woodpecker and a Bluebird.

You are doing great with new toy. I'd like to see a bit more sharpening on this one. Lovely bird!

The image really jumps out at me. I think the sharpening level is just right. I cannot think of any significant way to improve this image.

Lovely, Rosl. Hard to pick a favorite between the 2 for me. That eye is fantastic with that soft highlight and clear iris.

    Hi to all,
thank you again for looking at my picture.

Axel: "Theoretically, ISO 800 is cleaner than 640."

I never heard this before. Do you see a difference betrween the 640 and 800 ISO? This is really interesting! I'll try it!

Eye is fabulous and colors too.....small nit is :I think that you use burn tool in PS little too strong and obvious on the perch(maybe I am wrong:) )
