Another image from last weekend. The birds were arriving in flocks, and was happy to get these three in the clear. Had more trees below, but cropped to current level as the solid black mass of trees tended to overpower and unbalance the image for me.

    Yes, they are flying away.

Advice always appreciated, esp. in regards to comp.

    Cheers

Very nice Randy! A different type of shot. The comp looks good to me. I hope to make it down to Jasper Pulaski sometime in my future to get shots like this. Have a great one!

Interesting look with the dangling legs, Randy - before I read that they were heading away I thought they were coming toward the viewer. Love the colour - may crop some from above to raise the birds in the frame.

loved the comp mice formation and good you kept some part of the trees in the frame, it adds to the landing effect.

truly a beautiful image with nice setting ..
heatwave clearly visible over the tree portion so i am not complaining on the boundary blur on birds as it may the mirage made this.

I like the poses, they look a bit goofy when they are landing. :) Nice BG colors and composition, too. I might sharpen the edges of the birds some.

Lovely looking photo. Composition looks fine to me. I am not sure if removing the trees in lrc would make a positive difference or not. Great light. Dave
