    Default Avocet at sunset

XTi + 400 f/5.6, f/7.1, 1/500, EC 0, ISO 400, taken on October 31 in the San Francisco Bay Area. Darkened in DPP on the raw side and then lightened with curves on the DPP RGB side, leaving a few hundred pixels (out of almost 700,000) with R=255. USM applied in DPP after scaling to Web size. Any comments would be most appreciated.

Hi Flavio - sweet light - love the late afternoon glow. Whites mentioned in your self critique, I think I would loose the reflection, not that strong and give it more of a pano crop - think it will make it a stronger image.
A little CW rotation?? To make the water circle appear straight??
Would also clean up some of the water if your comfortable with that.

Sweet - keep them coming :)

    Hi Flavio,
I like the low capture angle, and the sweet light...agree with Mr. Peters sound advise. I would recommend on cropping from the bottom just below the dark pebbles, and clean up the loose ones in the water. Looking forward to your next one...

Love the golden light and the determination pose. Your bird is sharp as well. I agree about cropping off the bottom, even though it will cut off the environment.
