    You did well with the high-key exposure and the image is very sharp. The open bill is a plus. A slight head turn towards us would have been nice. Why did you choose f/13?

    Doug I was pretty close and wanted to make sure I had enough DOF on the bird ....

    Hi Michael, I agree with Doug that the exposure looks good as I see good detail throughout the bird. I like the open bill and for my taste the head angle is OK. I also like that we can see the bird's foot. For me I find the image a bit tight at the bottom as it appears that the virtual tail maybe clipped. Pretty nice and thanks foe sharing.

    F/13 certainly covered your DOF nicely, and I like the pose with the open beak. Sharp, and I would have maybe had a little more space below for the virtual tail.
